Wolverine Lake, Michigan, is a small community nestled in the northwest suburbs of Detroit. Located north of Walled Lake and Novi and just west of West Bloomfield, Wolverine Lake offers a combination of gorgeous natural views with a suburban feel. Wolverine Lake is a little over 1.5 square miles in size but has a population of nearly 4,500 residents. Wolverine Lake itself takes up nearly a quarter of this village.
There is plenty to do around Wolverine Lake to keep its residents occupied. On top of boating on the lake, there are dozens of other lakes in the area with West Bloomfield being home to 25 bodies of water. There’s also Proud Lake State Recreation Area, Dodge Park #5 and Kensington Metropark all within minutes of Wolverine Lake. With miles of paved trails for walking and biking, camping areas, playgrounds, picnic areas, beaches and more, spending a day outdoors is easy, convenient and fun. Downtown Detroit is a little more than a half-hour drive so commuting to work isn’t too bad and being freeway-close allows residents to get throughout all of southeast Michigan with ease.
