Oxford Township is a little over 35 square miles in size with approximately 21,000 residents. It’s a little out of the way from some of the major metro Detroit suburbs but for those looking to for a little more space while still being close to the Detroit area, Oxford is a great place to call home in Oakland County.
Oxford Township is located north of Auburn Hills and just south of Ortonville. The residents of Oxford are about 20 minutes away from such hot spots as the Great Lakes Crossing Outlet Mall featuring dozens of specialty stores, restaurants and entertainment options. They’re close to major venues as well like the Palace of Auburn Hills and DTE Energy Music Amphitheater where major musical and talent acts play when coming into town.
For those who like spending time outdoors there are a lot of lakes in the vicinity as well as major county and state parks with thousands of acres of land, lakes, trails and much more for the all-season outdoor enthusiasts. Oxford is a great place for those looking for more room and less city congestion.
