Milan, Michigan
On the southern end of Washtenaw County near M-23 is the small city of Milan. West of Augusta Township and south of Ann Arbor, Milan is a community with a population of approximately 6,000 residents situated within its 3.4 square miles. Known for its tree-lined streets, safe neighborhoods and historic downtown area, Milan is a charming spot in southeast Michigan that offers a little more space while still remaining close to such major cities as Ann Arbor.
Milan hosts many events throughout the year to bring the community and surrounding areas together such as car shows, concerts, festivals, parades and more. Milan has some beautiful park areas along the Saline River which are great for walks and enjoying some time outdoors. Ann Arbor is about a 25 minute drive north on M-23, Toledo is about 40 minutes to the south and Detroit is about 50 minutes to the east making Milan a great place for those who like living away from the urban areas but still want options when they want to check out the culture of a big city.
