Romulus, Michigan
Romulus is a metro Detroit city located west of Taylor and south of Wayne. Situated at the intersection of I-275 and I-94, Romulus is most famous for being home to the Detroit Metropolitan Airport. Romulus is 36 square miles in size with a population near 23,500. For those who call Romulus home, they’ll be situated about halfway between Ann Arbor to the west and Detroit to the east.
There’s also plenty to see and do for those who love spending time outdoors. On the southwest corner of Romulus is the Lower Huron Metropark which is 1,258 acres of woodlands, meadows and the Huron River. They have water slides and a lazy river at the Turtle Cove Family Aquatic Center inside the park as well as an ice skating rink, basketball courts, volleyball courts, trails, golf courses and much more. If you want to spend time on the water, Belleville Lake is a short drive down I-94.
Romulus is a great place to call home for those looking to live where there’s a little more space while still remaining close to the city.
